Our daily lives revolve around internet services and data accumulation. With time the qualities and services it provides have also upgraded its level. The usage of internet data today is completely different from what it was 10 years ago. User experience and usage have changed now. The Internet itself brought a revolution in the world of connectivity and since then it has only flourished.

First came web 1.0 in the early ’90s and lasted till 2004 with the introduction of web 2.0 which used user-generated content for end-users. It took a decade for it. Today the Internet is thriving to upgrade its level to web 3.0. Its achievements and challenges are much more complex than its previous models. Worldwide, some of the biggest technological experts and personalities have already endorsed web 3.0 as the future of the internet. As we move forward with the article, we will talk more about web 3.0 and its properties.

What is Web 3.0?

Web 3.0 is the third generation of the internet that focuses on the development and usage of websites and applications for a better understanding of data and the web. The ultimate goal of web 3.0 is to create more smart and open websites that can manage the data using Artificial Intelligence(AI).

It hasn’t been completely implemented yet. Experts assert that the transformation of web 2.0 from web 1.0 took a decade since the model of web 3.0 is much more complicated than the rest it might also take the same time if not longer to get fully implemented.

The previous two models were managed mainly by a handful of big tech companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, and in some ways Apple too, which holds the power to even make changes to them and use the accumulated data for different purposes. However, Web 3.0 emphasizes the decentralization of data.

Web 3.0 is derived majorly from blockchain technologies, which uses a distributed network of servers and the data is stored in multiple different servers making it almost impossible to hack. Web 3.0 is already impacting technology.

How it is Beneficial for Search Engines?

Fast and relevant data to end-users.

Artificial Intelligence could be used to construct Web 3.0 in order to provide fast and relevant data to its end-users. A website using AI should be able to filter through and present the relevant data a specific user wants. Since google search engines could be manipulated by humans, AI could be used to distinguish the results between legitimate and manhandled data.

Virtual Assistants

Virtual Assistant is one of the fastest-growing elements today either through third-party apps or inbuilt into devices that are introduced by Artificial Intelligence.

Categorized Information

The problem with Google is that it doesn’t work appropriately when it comes to filtering the appropriate content using keywords based on specific users’ preferences. On the other hand, the goal of Web 3.0 is to teach the system what specific data means. It categorizes and stores data in a way that makes it very easy to detect the right content as per the user’s preference or say, in a human-through way. This property will also use Artificial Intelligence, which will help in teaching the computer what data means and how to filter information based on it.

Ubiquitous Computing

It refers to the conventional processing of regular objects, which allows the communication of devices in the user’s environment. This is another property of Web 3.0.

P2P Technologies

Web 3.0 will be based on P2P, peer-to-peer technologies such as blockchain. Other technologies like APIs, data formats, and open-sourced software may also be formed while developing Web 3.0.

Web 3.0 is a new idea for the new iteration of the World Wide Web-based on blockchain technology. It enables the future based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. Web3.0 is the new evolution of the internet.
